Memorial
On Friday, February 19th, one of our oldest and dearest friends left our world. Michael J. Grant lived his life bigger, brighter and louder than most any others we have known. We will deeply miss his humor, personality, presence and huge heart. Michael and his wonderful wife Sandra adopted Kramer from us two years ago and have rescued and loved many other cats and dogs over the years. Michael was also a favorite visitor of many of the JL Sanctuary cats. Upon hearing his voice
Stop The Cycle
This beautiful, innocent. little boy is a Colony kitten. He was born outdoors, has had social contact with his Caregivers, is playful and loving, yet he and millions like him will spend their lives outside. Some would call him and his colony the 'lucky' ones. His colony has humans who give them food, shelter and care. He spent 4 days with us this week and has now been neutered, rabies vaccinated , ear tipped and returned to his Colony. He will continue to live outdoors but

Help Me Beat The Odds
UPDATE, UPDATE....hold the social networking super highway...I can't believe this, but it has already worked! I am adopted!! And just guess who I am going to live with? I am sooooo excited. I am going to live with my brothers, Huey and Louie!! Yes, it's true, in a very short time, I will be reunited with my brothers. Honestly, I have missed them so much, I haven't really been myself since they left. This morning, Kelly, their mom, saw my post and said that she had been thinki

Bella Mia is Meant For Love
Bella Mia is still waiting for her forever home. Please share her love and help her find it.

A Simple Teeth Cleaning!
Well so much for just a simple teeth cleaning! The Assistant said 'don't worry Garfield, you're just having your teeth cleaned, you'll come back and you'll be fine." Ha! Not so much! Turns out I had to also have 2 premolars removed and am restricted to a soft food diet for the next 7 days. It's not the soft food, that I love, but to keep me away from the dry food that's out for all the cats in the Palace, I am now restricted to living in a cage for those 7 days. Needless to s

I'm Going Home!
I'm going home!! All primary Conductor spots are filled on my Underground Railroad Rescued Kitty Network train. I am soooo excited that everything seems to be running smoothly and that my transport will go as scheduled on Saturday. I'm still a little nervous though, as things could still go wrong, but I'm going to keep the faith and my paws crossed. My transport is still short back-up drivers, so if you could keep sharing to help us fill those slots it would relieve my mind a

Monday Morning Interuptions
It's still really early and yet my sleep has already been repeatedly interrupted. Can a kitten not sleep in on a snowy Monday morning? First the assistant was in cleaning litter and stuff, then, when I had just fallen back to sleep, in comes Miss Judy, waking me up again. She came early to get all the cats going to the veterinarian today; Garfield for his teeth cleaning and 2 TNR's, a male and female who came in yesterday. Miss Judy will be back soon to clean the Palace, whic

Let Me Win Your Heart
Good morning! I'm just laying around, looking handsome as always and waiting for the right person to walk through the door. That person needs to be patient because I am a little shy at first meeting. Honestly, if you give me just a few minutes to get used to your presence in the room, and then some of your guiet, gentle attention, I'll reward you with my paws wrapped around your neck and my rumbling purrs in your ear. Once I give you my love and trust, you will never find
